I love the Dragon Ball manga and Dragon Ball Z, the anime. I wanted to do a Bulma cosplay for a long time, and this version is too cute! I only spend two days making this. My sister helped me with stuff like painting the shoes, pinning and tracing the pattern on the fabric, so I could work on details and sowing.
I chose to make the "print" on her shirt front and back in pleather - this gives it a really crisp and cartoony look. The gun holster is made from leather I got of an old couch <3 and the purse is made from painted denim - to achieve the same color as the shoes. It is very comfortable to wear, but remember to wear hortpants or shorts!

I did this as part of a group with Mona as Lenne. We didn't participate in any contests. I loved to wear this cosplay, because it turned out really neat. Unfortunately it got ruined when the basement I keep my cosplays in got flooded...
The gloves was a pain to make and fit. I didn't use a pattern, so I guess they turned out pretty good. I had to paint on the red shade of the gloves and boots, because the hand dying didn't work. The blue fabric I found had a slight glittery effect that really underlined the songstress dressphere.

This is one of the cosplays I'm most proud of. It is done in thick light pleather, and the ruffles are cotton. We decided to go with shorter wigs because we all know how loong wigs look after 30 min... The black grounded photos are from the cosplayshow, Freya is made and worn by Mona.

This cosplay is done as part of a group for a cosplay contest. It is made from velvet and satin. I don't have any emotional attachment to this character, but I enjoy doing the older styled clothing and wearing it too.

detailed step by step, and additional photos of this cosplay here
I chose to do this cosplay 2 weeks before the convention. I actually thought that It wasn't that much work, since the main part of the cosplay is the wig and the body suit. While I
knew the wig would be a bit of work, I also knew that the bodysuit wasn't that hard to make and fit. The thing I didn't count in, was the very time consuming beading of the chest pieces.... I got a bit caught up in this part because I can't help wanting stuff to be perfect!

This was actually my first cosplay ever. I thought about it for a year, and executed it in 2 weeks. I guess it was at this point my bad habbit of stressing cosplay began. In my opinion it was pretty good for a first cosplay and for a Rikku cosplay in general. There's only few pics of me in this, and I had to throw it out last year (2010) due to the flooding in my basement. I will someday do a remake of this and bring her to justice!
